Subject: [FAST News] Swim-A-Thon is Coming!

FAST Parents and Swimmers -

Our 2009 Swim-A-Thon team fundraiser event will be held on Wednesday, November 11th from 5:00p.m. -8:00p.m.

Please mark your calendars, and plan to attend. We will need all FAST swimmers and parents to be at the pool for the event. The "Swim-A-Thon" is a USA Swimming sponsored method for teams like ours to raise needed funds. FAST is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, and we rely on our annual Swim-A-Thon fundraiser to offset some of the costs of our program.

Swimmers will typically request sponsorship from relatives, friends and neighbors and local businesses, and then swim a maximum of one continuous two-hour period or a maximum of 200 lengths of the pool, whichever comes first. We need parents at the pool to help count. We will also serve dinner the night of the event, so it will be an opportunity to socialize and meet other parents on the team.
